I am a 40-something attorney with a love of travel, wonder of new and interesting, and a writer.  I love art, art history, and museums of just about any variety.  I believe in the power of art and history to continue to make the world a better place, and I encourage all to get outside, walk in nature, go to a museum, and experience life on a grand scale.

I have one furry child, four grown children, am married to my very best friend, and enjoy watching movies, reading, needlepoint on occasion (Ehrman Tapestries rule), and am braver than I believe.

My son took the photo on this page on evening in June 2009, the same night that Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett died (it was on the ticker around the buildings, MTV Store blaring MJ music, people crying, etc.).  We were in Philly for a conference, and he and his girlfriend had gone with me.  We decided last-minute to book a train to NYC for the evening, got off at Penn Station, and made our way to Times Square.  None of us had ever (a) ridden a train, (b) been to NYC, or (c) ridden the subway.  It was a fun and adventurous night.  One I’ll never forget!
